I was never that much into traveling. I loved going to the beach and on an occasional city trip, but the far and the unknown never really appealed to me. Until I went on my first backpack trip to Thailand in 2014. I instantly fell in love with this magical South-East Asian country.

At the end of 2015, when my parents told me it is better to regret the things you did do, rather than the things you didn’t do, I knew I had to follow my heart. I quit my full-time job in marketing and booked a one-way ticket to Australia. And that’s when Eef Explores was born…

I believe it is never too late to make a drastic change in your life as it is also never too late to start traveling. I meet many people on my travels and I’m often one of the oldest. Does it matter? No. You’re as old as you feel you are, and I found that I could just as easily connect to a 19-year-old as to a 30-year-old.

Everyone has their own story and experiences which is also one of the reasons why traveling makes you richer in ways I never expected to exist. I try to live in the moment and just enjoy everything that comes on my path. Where I’ll be one year from now? I don’t know, but what I do know is that I’m super excited for everything that lies ahead.
