Sydney is home to hundreds of pools. Sydneysiders live and love an active outdoor lifestyle, so it is no wonder they’re often found splashing around in one of Sydney’s many pools.
Not only are many of these pools great for a swim, they’re also stunning to look at. These are the most beautiful Sydney Pools.
1. Bondi Icebergs
You probably saw this one coming. Bondi Icebergs is not only one of the most famous pools in Sydney, it might very well be one of the most famous pools in the world.
Admission is $8 and lets you relax and swim at Icebergs all day. If the Sydney sun is not hot enough for you then this its good to know this fee also includes sweating in the sauna. Onsite you’ll also find a coffee shop for some food ‘n caffeine.
2. Bronte Baths
Opened in 1887 (source), one of the most beautiful rock pools out there is Bronte Baths. Admission is free and if you get the chance make sure you visit this gorgeous pool at sunrise. You won’t regret it! 🙂
3. North Sydney Olympic Pool
Feeling like a swim but don’t want to get your skin all salty in a rock pool? Jump into the North Sydney Olympic Pool with iconic views on the Harbour Bridge.
Entrance to the NSOL is $8,50. Please note that you’re not allowed to take pictures down at the pool with a big camera.
4. MacCallum Pool
Splash around while looking at not one but two of Sydney’s greatest icons? At MacCallum Pool you can! This pool dates back to 1920 and was originally built to form a safe harbour swimming hole (source)
Entrance to MacCallum pool is free.
5. Mahon Pool – Maroubra
Somehow you don’t find Mahon Pool in Maroubra in most Sydney Pool Lists. And that’s not fair, if you ask me. Mahon Pool is surrounded by rough cliffs and rocks, making it a sight for sore eyes and a beautiful place for a (morning) swim. Entrance is free.
Enjoy Sydney’s gorgeous pools! 🙂
