The best Instagram photo spots in Bondi? Check! I’ve been living in Bondi for over three years now, and know where to find all the good (hidden) spots. Grab your camera, grab your phone or grab your insta-husband (or -wife) and let’s go!
These are the best Instagram Photo Spots in Bondi.
1. Bondi Icebergs
Let’s start with the most iconic and well-known spot in Bondi: Bondi Icebergs! Icebergs gives you plenty of pretty photo opportunities.
You can take a few instaworthy shots with Icebergs in the background, or you can pay $9 to use the pool and sauna for some action shots. Please note Icebergs doesn’t allow any big cameras to be used inside, so make sure to only use your phone camera.
2. Bondi Graffiti Wall Art
Just as iconic as Icebergs is to Bondi, so is Bondi’s Graffiti Wall Art. These walls along the beach promenade are colorfully decorated by various Sydney artists.
The wall art changes from time to time, so even if you’ve been to Bondi before it’s always worth checking out the new creations 🙂
3. Up South on Bondi Road
You might have seen this beautifully decorated cafe pop up somewhere on the world wide web before. Up South Bondi is decorated just as beautiful as their food tastes. So when you’re visiting Bondi and hungry after hours of shooting photos, sit yourself down, relax, and have lunch at Up South 🙂
4. Noah’s Backpackers
Another colorful Bondi building! On the corner of Bondi Road and Campbell Parade, at Noah’s Backpackers.
I haven’t personally stayed at Noah’s myself, but a few of my friends have. If you’re looking to meet new people and socialize then Noah’s is a very good hostel for you. If you’re looking for cleanliness and a good night sleep then you might want to stay somewhere else… 😉
5. South Bondi
This is my personal favorite spot in Bondi, as it gives you the most incredible view on the entire beach. As it’s practically the start of the Bondi to Coogee walk it is also a very busy spot. Go early in the morning or during winter to avoid the crowds 🙂
6. Bondi Pavilion
Bondi Pavilion is one of Bondi’s (few) historic buildings. Built in 1928 it served as a Turkish bath house and event space.
If there are no events going on you can simply walk up the stairs and enjoy the amazing views from the balcony. I took this picture in winter, when there’s an ice skating rink right at the beach! Cool eh?!
7. The Grassy Knol
The Grassy Knol is one of the best spots in Bondi to watch the sun go down. With beautiful reflections on the water this might very well be the prettiest sunset photo spot in Bondi.
8. The Bondi Boats
Boats boats boats! Who else is a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother?
Anyway, these beautiful boats in Ben Buckler – North Bondi make a very pretty backdrop 🙂
9. Lifeguard Post in North Bondi
Iconic to Bondi Beach is Bondi Rescue – and so are their lifeguard towers. The little Lifeguard Post in North Bondi is a nice spot to take a photo at. If you wish to take a photo at the tower itself then please check if its not being used (for example in winter), and if it is: please ask permission 🙂
